I cant believe this is happening. It looks like the US passed some toy safety laws that will force most small toymakers in the US out of business. Small toymakers in Canada and Europe will no longer be able to export their toys to the US.
Is this the governments way of forcing me to shop at Walmart and to buy toys from China? That is certainly how I feel. Apparently I am no longer allowed to support US small businesses. I have to give my money to multi-million dollar companies whose toys fall apart and whose CEOs are swimming in cash already.

Amazing, I cannot believe that once again they find a way to screw over the little guy. I mean, let's be honest, there is craftsmanship involved in the small toy companies & I sure don't see that in Chinese-made products. Just mass-market junk thrown together to make a quick buck. Disgusting. Thanks for the heads-up!

not only is this effecting toymakers but ANYONE who makes ANYTHING for children 12 and under! expect to see no more handmade clothing for children - fewer skus in the stores as each sku is subject to costly testing...simpler styles as component testing will raise teh price of clothing items with multiple fabrics, embellishements etc....some other good sites to read more include:
