I am so excited to start this sew a long. It is a lot more fun and motivating to sew projects with other people!
This month's patterns are:
Main pattern: Blouse with Doily Trim
Optional Pattern: Pants with Lace Trim
Remember to change up your project a bit. You must add some sort of embellishment that is not in the original pattern! For this pattern you could use something other then a doily, make your own knitted trim, leave the trim off and embroider a border, use patchwork, applique or fabric printing to decorate the fabric. Anything! Use your creativity! That is what I love most about this book. It leaves so much room for creativity and alteration!
Don't forget to read the rules and join the flickr group.
Also, don't forget to post a direct link to your flickr project photo or blog post in the comments section of this post so you are entered to win this month's contest!
This month's prize:
This book is the prize for the best project this month! It has some great reviews! I cant wait to see your projects!
oooh, I havent made these pattern yet.
Hmm...what to do?

I think I made a mistake on Flickr...I was so excited to FIND ;-) this group, that I immediately joined and then posted two images of projects I've already done. Am I right in thinking, though, that the photo pool is for the monthly sew-alongs? If so, I will remove photos (and submit when it's "time"...) Please let me know.
I also just want to say that I am super happy to see that someone else out there wants to "sew through the book," for that is what I wanted to do on my own the moment it arrived in my mailbox.
Wonderful idea -- and I love the March pattern. :-)

I made the pants last night and they are really really cute. Great easy pattern, think I will make some more for sure. I'm still thinking on the shirt, and how I want to make it.

I finished my blouse :-) AS SOON as my machine was fixed, and I think I must have enjoyed it even more after waiting nearly all month.
THANK YOU AGAIN for forming the Sew-Along. I am eager to see what is on tap for April.
Do you I put my link right here in the box like text?
