I switched to a "new to me" computer, which was gifted to me by a close friend. Come to find out it doesnt have a card reader for my camera memory cards. Not cool. I bought one from Amazon and I am waiting for it to arrive. I need to show you the bounty in my garden and my kitchen, the sewing and knitting projects I have finished and started! There is stuff piling up to share.
In the meantime, I have made a list of knitting patterns I have bookmarked for this fall and winter.
Here is what I am currently working on:
The Tomato This is another from Amigurumi Knits. A companion for Aubergine.
My Sea Clover Socks - My toughest project yet next to Crabby. Size 1 needles = Dangerous & frustrating. Its like knitting with long toothpicks. Tom says they look like well-sanded skewers. I already broke one. I think I will go buy a plastic set since the bamboo ones are so easy to snap. I am using yarn by Hazel Knits and I love it so far.
Fetching - A popular Knitty favorite
Baby Bear - From my new favorite toy book Itty Bitty Toys
So what are my plans for Fall?
Bella's Mittens - I haven't seen any of the Twilight movies. Which is kinda crazy since Tom and I love Vampire Werewolf flicks. I do love these mittens and the other patterns inspired by this movie.
Mitered Mittens - I am not quite sure how I am going to get a hold of the pattern for these. I saw a finished pair at Bobbins Nest Studio on Saturday and they were beautiful!!
Duchess Raglan - Yes I am going to try a sweater.
Violette - Adorable!
Smitten - This is for me and Tom. I love it!
Owlings - Because all I need is another pair of fingerless mitts.
Dashing - For Tom
Lens Sock - This is sooooooo cool. I need three of these.
Wurm - Something about this hat calls to me. I think I might hate that purling though...
And if I get time I will try these
I know I will never get all this stuff done but its fun to dream isn't it? What are you planning on knitting this fall?
It's 97 degrees here today....I am amazed - again - at your ability to even THINK knitting. I got 7 rows into my headband and gave up with sweaty fingers. Not so much AC here where I'm living, so I'm definately bound to the rhythm of the season. ;-)
Either way, I'm looking forward to trawling through your list again. You always have good picks! And my weather will cool....
