ha ha! This has happened to me, too.....it wasn't funny at the time, but the way you wrote about it / pictured it, made me remember it in a laughing way.
I love bamboo needles....even though those thin ones snap sometimes. My friend told me that her favorite wool shop has an open container of singles on the counter -- free for taking, when knitters break that one needle. No wonder it is her favorite shop. :-)
